starting and managing a small business. The author (who has a side business with a partner while keeping a full-time "day job") cited three things that he says are critical to running his business:
- QuickBooks is mission critical
- Cash flow is king
- Marketing is a must
Whether you run a small business or manage something much bigger, that's pretty good advice. Translated into more universal language:
- Watch your costs religiously
- Manage to cash
- Invest in sales & marketing to grow
